Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Our Online Privacy Statement is designed to inform you about how we use the information we collect from you while you browse and shop our website. Hickory Ridge Designs will review, modify and update this privacy policy from time to time. These policies apply only to our site, we have no control over policies of websites we link to or to those who link to us.
When you visit our website, you can browse freely, play with the shopping cart, etc. We do not require you to login. We collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, how you arrived to our site, what search engine you used, and track the pages you visit. Basically, we have no clue who you are nor do we care. We use this information for statistical purposes to see if our hard work in building the website is paying off.
If you add items to our shopping cart and click on the "checkout" button, you will be taken to a secure area that is secured by a SSL certificate that ensures information is encrypted before transmission. Credit card information is not stored on our computers and is routinely deleted from secure area.
The major credit/debit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express) are processed automatically through the Linkpoint gateway system, the funds are then transfered to our account through Cardservices International. We never receive your financial information nor is it stored on our computer.
If you decided to pay using PayPal or Google Checkout, you will go to thier respective websites and enter your payment information. They in return will send us an email notification that the order has been paid and the money has been deposited in our account. We do not receive your financial information.
Our preferred shipper is UPS, but occassionally we will use USPS (United States Postal Service). We print labels from our computer for both which requires us to enter your shipping address. We also enter your email address so you can be notified automatically of when to expect your packages and the tracking numbers.
Orders that are drop shipped from the manufacture or distributor will arrive using their preferred method of shipping. Most use UPS, but some use FedEx or DHL. We pass on the needed information to them to get your package to you.
Occasionally we will need to contact you regarding your order. We will contact you either by email or phone. Our preference is email as with the different time zones, we know we won't be interrupting you.
We retain your contact information for future email and/or direct mail promotions. At this time we have discontinued email/direct mail promotions, but if we decide to start up again in the future, you will be given the option of opting in or out.
